Work that Endures – 5/5/20

Boydie Maraj

Proverbs 23:4-5 – “Do not toil to acquire wealth; be discerning enough to desist. When your eyes light on it, it is gone, for suddenly it sprouts wings, flying like an eagle toward heaven”

“Toil” here means to work tirelessly, and we can become tired and weary working for riches that are fleeting. How a person spends their time is vitally important. As Christians, let us devote time and effort to activities that give us enduring wealth and righteousness - the pursuit of wisdom and furthering God’s Kingdom.

Prayer Point

Pray and ask God for discernment in your life and to resist the riches and things of this world.
