What the Saving is All About – 12/23/20

Revelation 21:4  “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.

In life there is the saying that, no one comes through unscarred. No matter what one’s disposition is in life or how one’s life may appear on the outside, the trials of life come to each of us. It becomes inevitable that we get sick, we get injured, we lose our joys, we experience injustice, we lose loved ones, and we ourselves will pass.

Jesus knew that in this world we would experience these sorrows and with each one he offers us the sacrifice of His life for us; to have a future in his eternal Kingdom where our tears are wiped away with the joy of His presence, and the sorrows of life in this world will be no more. To hope in this future promised to us, we have to accept and believe in His works.

I pray that with each trial that comes our way, we see and accept the gospel given hope that we have in our present circumstances; a hope that draws us into His kingdom.
