09 Dec What a Sweet Day – 12/9/20
Isaiah 11:9 – “They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.”
What a sweet day it will be when the Lord will come back to fulfill his promises here on earth. For now, we find ourselves living in the almost, but not yet; where we have tasted and seen pieces of the Lord, but we live amongst people who don’t know Him yet. Where sin and brokenness are still present. The space in between promise and the fulfillment is not easy, but as believers we have hope that Jesus will one day come back for his people. His people will no longer endure suffering, and those who know Him, love Him, and walk with Him will be overwhelmed with His presence. His peace will cover everything just as water covers the sea. The season of waiting is hard, but it does not even begin to compare to what’s coming. Till Kingdom come, and His will is done, let us trust and believe in the promises He has made and that He will fulfill them.
I pray that we would hold onto Jesus when living in the “almost, but not yet”.
I pray for those living in darkness, that they would encounter Jesus and be filled by Him.
I pray and thank Jesus for the ways He has revealed himself while living in the space in between.
