21 Jun Unity of Mind – 6/21/20
1 Peter 3:8 – “Finally all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.”
We are daily distracted from God, divided from the purposes of God and each other, and indifferent to sisters, brothers, and others.
We are hardened in heart and pridefully puffed up in mind by our learned righteousness.
All of this is happening daily, while God waits for us to turn to him.
Lord! Forgive each of us for how we have grieved you.
Friends let us see how we have turned from his righteousness to our own, however slight or grave. Be humbled by his grace for our errors. Be driven to desire unity over disunity,
collectively caring God’s cares over our own, and practicing brotherly and sisterly love that humbly loves one another regardless of burden. This is the joy of living for God’s righteousness that we desire.
