07 May The Unsearchable Riches of God – 5/7/20
Proverbs 25:2 – “It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out.“
Be honest: How many of us can say we delight in the unknown. Some of you might, but for most of us, uncertainty can result in feelings of anxiety, uneasiness, and discomfort. Yet, God’s glory is manifested in the unknown – it is to His glory that we DON’T know everything. Why is that? Maybe we just weren’t created to know everything. Perhaps God intended for you to be the searcher and not the One being sought out. Regardless of “why”, we do have an answer for “what”.
“The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law. Deuteronomy 29:29
In uncertain times, we can rest in knowing what He has said, because what He has said will always come to pass. As believers, we can rest in knowing He’s constantly working in us through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. On top of that, we have an astounding and glorious answer for “who” – and his name is Jesus.
Praise God for the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus – all because He loves us! Pray that in times of uncertainty, you’re able to rest in God’s sovereignty over this world and over your life. Use Philippians 4:6-7 as a guide for this truth.
