Occupied by the Word – 9/16/20

Nate Crew

Psalms 1:3 – “He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.”

When the word is your occupation ______ is your outcome. Write down what the Lord is leading you to apply. This is simple input/output, so the question is what you are inputting into your life. The outcomes you are experiencing now are symptoms of what occupies you. The output is just a sign of input.

The reason the tree is flourishing is its placement not its power. “By streams of water.” Take the same tree and put it “by a desert” or “by a pile of rocks” and the situation changes. Flourishing is about proper placement. Take your flowers and put them by the window or by the washing machine and see which one does better. For some of you, your whole life will change if you just adjust your placement. You are misplaced and being misled, and the Lord today is calling you back to Himself.
