12 May Let us be reminded – 5/12/20
Proverbs 30:3-5 – “I have not learned wisdom, nor have I knowledge of the Holy One. Who has ascended to heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son’s name? Surely you know! Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.”
In the midst of this pandemic, we all have at least once tried to gain our own wisdom and forgot the knowledge of the Holy One. I know I did: I packed up my survival bug out bag for my wife and I stocked up on food and tactical gear in order to have a survival plan. This Proverbs exhorts Christians to rely and submit to the one who is All-powerful and reigns. May the good news of Gospel lead us to worship in reverence and awe of who Jesus is – our sustainer and refuge (v. 5).
Ask God to remind you who He is through His through word and creation.
