12 Nov I Know That My Redeemer Lives – 11/12/20
Richard Thomas
Job 19:25-27 – “For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been thus destroyed, yet in my flesh I shall see God, whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another. My heart faints within me!”
In our lives we face trials and trouble for a number of reasons. In the middle of those trials, like Job, we can be discouraged by our present circumstances and may not receive the comfort we desire from our friends or family. Though times like this seem hopeless, we can set our eyes on the hope that is found in Jesus. His ways are just, and he will bring peace and, in the end, permanent healing to all the pain we feel.
Prayer:
Father we thank you for being consistent and faithful! Help us in the midst of our troubles; to have our eyes fixated on your glory. You say in your word that “eyes have not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered in the heart of man what the LORD has prepared for those who love him.” Help us be excited to see your face and glory made known in all the earth. Help us to not grow weary in well doing. Order our steps so that we may bring glory to your name. Have your will be done in our lives. In Jesus name, amen.
