13 Dec God Was, Is, and Will Be Known – 12/13/20

Habakkuk 3:1-2– “Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy.”
The passage informs us that hearing of God’s fame causes God’s people to be in awe of His deeds, and in turn, implements us with a desire to see those deeds completed. For Christians, being aware of God working around us starts with awe. We cry out in need for deliverance, provision, companionship, vindication; but awareness of God does not start with the need. Rather, it is our awe that allows us to see Him working.
Prayer:
Lord, I pray that we worship you in awe, and watch for your works of mercy; so we may share your deeds and others can hear of your fame. Amen.
