Commit to the Lord’s Work – 4/28/20

Kyle Schlarman

Proverbs 16:3-4 – “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. The Lord has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.

When we came together as a Church to be God’s hands and feet in Falls Church, the impact God would have through us was unknown. Now, with life stood on its head, our reach has only expanded. We committed our work to the Lord, and we are seeing God’s faithfulness as a result. Physical needs are found and met, Gospel messages are being shared from the stage and personally, and acts of love and service are being shown far more through the pandemic.

Citylight and each of us individually, have a purpose to glorify God and share the good news of the Gospel. Even evil has a purpose according to God. So that means COVID 19 has a purpose. We know the God in full control over it all. Let’s continue to commit our work to Him and live out our purpose.

Prayer Point

Pray that we would continue to prioritize God’s work in our church and individual lives and commit it fully to Him.
