25 Jun Being in Full Accord – 6/25/20
Philippians 2:2-3 – “…complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.”
In this letter to the church of Philippi, Paul is exhorting them to unify and build each other up in love. This is a great example of how we as a church should treat each other. We are to agree, love, and work together with one another. We must do this in spite of differing political views and cultural upbringings. In addition, we are to be selfless by serving one another more than ourselves. When we do this and do it well, we further promote unity within the church. During these times of injustice, hatred, and confusion let us all unite together as believers loving one another in the ways God’s Word declares.
- Pray for our brothers and sisters who are hurting during this time
- Pray for further love and unity within the church body
- Pray that the church continues to learn to work together in love in spite of differences
