A Living Hope – 9/1/20

Nate Crew

Ephesians 1:18 – “For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him,18 having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints”

This hope is a calling, an inheritance, guaranteed by the immeasurable greatness of God’s power who raised Jesus from the dead. This is amazing! Don’t guess and check with your hope. You can have it guaranteed. A living hope can only be given by a living being. God can keep hope alive because He is alive and will always be so. This living hope is provided through an event that gave and still gives life, the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. Because Jesus is alive, so is my hope. Because Jesus made good on His promise to rise again, He will make good on His promises to bring me with Him. Our hope is rooted in a resurrection. What about yours? What is your hope rooted in?
